Finding the Way Through and Beyond
Hi, I’m Noela. I believe that every struggle has a powerful reason for existence. My journey didn’t start in a classroom or a hospital. It began in a small village in Cameroon. There, I learned the true art of healing by watching my grandmother. She didn’t have fancy equipment, but she had a heart of gold. I watched her care for my great-grandmother through the fog of dementia, and I saw how she and our community tended to my uncle with schizophrenia. Those early years taught me that medicine is more than just science—it is a sacred act of community and love.
At sixteen, I moved to the United States with a dream of becoming a healer. I started at the very beginning as a nursing assistant, and over the next 17 years, I climbed every rung of the ladder—becoming an LPN, then an RN, and finally a BSN. Today, I serve as an Assistant Director of Nursing and am training to become a Board-Certified Nurse Coach.
But my most important “clinical” work happens within the walls of my own home. As a mother of four children ranging from ages 7 to 15, I live the daily reality of balancing a high-stakes career with the beautiful, chaotic work of raising a family. I understand what it feels like to be the “healer” who is also exhausted, the leader who is also searching for grace, and the immigrant bridging two different worlds.
I created Making It Through and Beyond because I know what it’s like to sit in the darkness. Whether you are facing professional burnout, a personal crisis, or a season of spiritual “hiding,” I want you to know that you are not alone.
My mission is to use my medical expertise, my coaching heart, and my faith to help you find your way back. Together, we can look at the “hard things” in life and find the path that leads not just to survival, but to transformation. We don’t just stay in the darkness—we make it through, and we move beyond.
