God Calls, We Hide. Jesus Brings Us Back to God

WHERE ARE YOU?

“But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”

(Genesis 3:9-10 NIV)

This passage speaks true to most of us today. Every soul knows there’s a God in a Perfect Garden calling us to come to dwell with him. But because of our knowledge of good and evil, we look at the goodness of God and compare it to the evil desires of our hearts, and we immediately conclude that we are not good enough to dwell with God, so we hide.

We hide in busy schedules and excuses. We hide because, like Adam, we see our sin and are ashamed. When we examine our hearts, we know we can’t please God.

So for those fortunate enough to hear about the Gospel of the good news of Jesus Christ, they finally can have a way to dwell with God through his Son Jesus Christ. The message of the Gospel of the Good News is important because it brings salvation to all those who believe. The soul must FIRST accept this TRUTH that “Jesus died for our sins” (1 Corinthians 15:3). The punishment we deserved was and still is on Jesus Christ. When we accept this TRUTH, we can know that GOD truly loves us, despite our sins. And with that, we can stop hiding and start seeking GOD.

He said in his word:

Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon”.

(Isaiah 55:6-7 NIV).

God is calling you by name say, “Where are you?” He asks, not that he doesn’t know where you are, but he calls out to give you a chance to come out of hiding and dwell with him. God already knows where you are hiding and why you are hiding, and he has already forgiven you through Jesus Christ. All you need to do is accept it now.

Will you accept Jesus Christ into your life and stop hiding? or will you remain in darkness?
