Welcome

Why I Am Stepping Out of the Shadows

“I believe that every struggle has a powerful reason for existence.”

For 17 years, I have walked the halls of care facilities, from the bedside to the corporate meetings. I have climbed the ladder from a nursing assistant to an Assistant Director of Nursing. I have witnessed the complexities of the human body and the strength of the human spirit in moments of both crisis and recovery.

But my journey didn’t start in a clinical setting; it started in a small village in Cameroon. It started at the bedside of my great-grandmother and in the quiet, communal care given to my uncle.

I have spent a lifetime being a “healer” for others—both as a nurse and as a mother of four. But along the way, I realized that we healers often need healing ourselves. We all face seasons of “darkness”—whether it is professional burnout, personal transition, or simply losing sight of who we are meant to be.

Making It Through and Beyond is my answer to that darkness.

This platform is a bridge. It is where my nearly two decades of clinical leadership meet my “village wisdom.” It is a place for those who are tired of just “surviving” and are ready to find their purpose again. Through my writing and coaching, I want to help you take the lessons from your hardest seasons and use them as roots to stand tall.

I am no longer just a nurse leader behind a desk or a caregiver in the shadows. I am a voice for resilience.

Welcome to the journey. We aren’t just making it through; we are moving beyond.
